City of Gaithersburg to Provide Mail-in Voting Option
At their meeting on February 1, the Mayor and City Council voted to modify the election procedures for the 2021 Municipal Election, allowing for both mail-in and in-person voting. Taking feedback from an extensive survey and public forum process into consideration, the Board of Supervisors of Elections recommended a process that would include sending mail-in ballot applications to all registered voters, adding drop boxes throughout the City, hosting two early voting sessions at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, and having the Activity Center serve as one central voting center on November 2.
More details about the elections will be available in the spring.
