There is no doubt that there is so much to do in the villages. But you might be wondering what it's like to live in The Villages?

Lots Of Facilities For Sports And Leisure Activities

Each of the districts of The Villages has its own leisure facility. However, residents can use any of the recreational facilities outside of their neighborhood.

So, what is it like to live in the neighborhoods of the Villages? Well, it's definitely going to be action-packed. You can start your day playing pickleball or maybe even tennis. If you are not in the mood for certain sports activities, you can check out the various social and learning activities. You will never run out of things to do, in or outside the Village districts.

There are about 17 recreational centers in The Villages So, in case the resident wishes to change their mind, they can simply get in a golf cart to get to the nearest recreation center.

Wait ... There's More!

You will find about 80 outdoor swimming pools in the villages. Add to that 174 shuffleboard courts, 201 bocce courts, 9 softball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, horseshoes and bowling alleys. Pickleball is a favorite sport for active adults. The reason is probably because it looks like tennis but in a less tiring way. The court is smaller and the racquet is much lighter to swing. Players can approach the net without fear of being hit by the ball. With 202 pickleball courts in the villages, residents can play the sport at their leisure

This Is Not A Crowded Community

While these are the typical recreational sports facilities of an active adult community, The Villages offer them in abundance. There are no crowded facilities in The Villages. Besides the magnificent golf courses of The Villages, there are also equestrian facilities and polo fields. Considering that The Villages is located less than 40 km from Ocala, the horse capital of the world, it makes sense to have these facilities on site. It’s worth noting that only The Villages offer such facilities on site.

For active adults in The Villages, learning never stops. Residents can enroll in sewing, ceramics, arts and carpentry classes. For more formal learning, there is the Lifelong Learning College inside the villages. There are also churches that cater to various religions. Life in The Villages is devoid of boredom and worry.

Health Centers Are Right Inside The Villages

All the health centers inside the villages are first rate. Residents do not have to worry about their health care as they also have access to The Villages regional medical center and other neighborhood health centers.

TJ Harrington - What sounds intriguing to me is that the Villages has plenty of activities for 55+ and it isn't crowded! Even if a member of the community doesn't play sports they can still watch from the sidelines and get to know people.

Welcome to ActiveRain! You're off to a great start and I look forward to reading more posts by you.
