Micah 7:8
“Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.”
As we shine our light we know that its the light of the Lord that shines through us! The enemy likes to remind us of our sins. That is to keep us in darkness. Often people feel not worthy of the light, or not worthy enough to be a shining light for others because of their past.
God does not keep you in darkness. You don’t have to keep yourself in darkness. You are a child of the light. The Lord is your light. The Lord is the light to other people who feel held back due to their past even if they have accepted Christ, but feel some unworthiness. The Lord is the light to those who don’t know it yet. Let’s not continue to remind ourselves of all of our sins of the past. We are forgiven!
Also lets not remind others of their sins and failings of the past because they have been forgiven. And if you find yourself not feeling like you are forgiven or that someone else is not forgiven than think of this verse. Even if you have fallen, proclaim that you will rise and come out of the darkness with the Lord as your light!
LORD YOU KNOW MY WHOLE BEING, THAT SOME TIMES I FEEL LIKE I HAVE FALLEN, SOMETIMES I FEEL IN DARKNESS, YET I KNOW YOU ARE LIGHT, AND YOU GIVE ME VICTORY OVER MY ENEMIES AND HELP ME ENCOURAGE OTHERS IN THE LIGHT OF THE LORD TO PROCLAIM THE VICTORY TOO!
