The Forest. The Trees.
And So Much More.
I was thinking about the forest and the trees recently. An old thought came to mind. Likely you have heard it and maybe used it as well. It’s the one where someone can’t see the forest for the trees.
After thinking about that for a bit more than a moment, I also wondered if the devil was really in the details. Why? Yes, I wondered why I was thinking about that too.
And then I slapped myself(figuratively rather than literally but there is still time to add that action to my repertoire).
When one thinks of California, they may not immediately think of forests or even the abundance of trees or numerous forests, parks or natural resources.
Afterall, many other images may come to mind. The mere mention of the “Golden State” beckons all sorts of feelings and descriptions but as a native, my acquaintance with this place has allowed me to see beyond what many assume yet I continue to see many things that are suddenly new even though they have been in existence for a very long time.
I am sure that’s also true for you - regardless of where one lives or who one may be. It’s not just one thing - or one thought process or one ideology. I am grateful for the forest, the trees and so much more.
