Motivational Monday...Know Your Stuff
With the Super Bowl and football in the rearview mirror until this fall (or not) I was thinking about how much I miss my favorite player...Peyton Manning.
As a player, he was known for being the first one at training headquarters and the last one to go home. He loves the game of football, not for the fame or fortune it would bring him, but for the game of football. Very different from some of the players who appear to be in it for how much “me” time they get onscreen.
Even when the defense was on the field, Peyton was on the sidelines studying the plays and film, constantly learning from their mistakes, the opponent’s hits and misses, and where they could improve. Again…this was while the game was being played!
Today, I see players who are on the sidelines just sitting there or chatting with other players. That’s ok..the game is a paycheck for them. But the real players-those who love the games know the history of it. They are constantly learning.

No matter what you do...agent, lender, inspector, stager, teacher, banker, or parent...never stop learning about your craft or business.
Value learning and preparation. If you’ve been at your craft for decades, you can still learn. This is what makes you valuable to those around you.
Pressure is something you feel when you don't know what the hell you're doing. Peyton Manning
There are other players who were more talented, but there is no one who could out-prepare me. Peyton Manning
