Speechless Sundays - Mission Accomplished

Well, it's been a long time coming but, this week we got Ray down to the dock! The photo above is of Ray and our friend, Tim (the contractor). It was very emotional and I have to say, so very rewarding. I loved being able to put in quite a few hours to help the contractor. I learned so much helping with the project, not to mention, it's been a labor of love!

*Almost finished with the pickets/railing

The contractor still has about a day's worth of work to do on the ramp and then several days of landscaping - lots of dirt to move and plants to plant! The contractor meets with the landscaper mid-week. I think we'll probably add more large rock to continue the rip rap in hard-to-reach areas around the ramp, a small retaining wall and some ground cover above that. We'll share more when the entire project is complete.

Happy Sunday!

The right Charlotte REALTOR!

LOL I just came from your blog!

Yes, I got my butt kicked but, it was so worth it to be there to snap this picture! He's one happy camper and will be even happier when the warm weather arrives and he can spend some time down there!

And maybe a soft couch on the dock for when the evening libations on the dock get to be too much.

Well done, it most likely will get to be well used
