Acts 20:28
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.”
What do you need to watch over in your life so that what God has entrusted you with does not get torn apart. There are so many distractions in the world we live in today any number of things could be the “savage wolves”. Some of the things that can tear us away from the plans of God look harmless. Other things are clearly divisive.
Thus, this same message rings true today that we do need to “keep watch” over ourselves and the people that you are made an overseer of. Be alert to see what potholes or traps might be on your path to avoid. Are you seeing something that may take someone else off their course? Its fine and normal to have a conversation with them. Communication with one and another and connecting with Christ and the Holy Spirit is a way to stay alert and ready for the things that can pull you off track.
The Lord will continue to make you the overseer of more as you are able to expand your discernment and understanding of what is happening around you. We all are presented with different tests in this world. God can use all of those tests for your good!
LORD THANK YOU FOR KEEPING WATCH OVER ME AND ALWAYS PICKING ME BACK UP WHEN I FALL. HELP ME CONTINUE TO BE MORE ALERT ABOUT WHAT THINGS MAY DISTRACT ME FROM THE GOOD YOU HAVE FOR ME! AND HELP ME HELP OTHERS IN THIS AREA AS WELL!
