10 Ways To Improve The Quality of Your Blog Content

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Who is really reading your blog: real people or Google robots? Hopefully, your answer is both.  To be a successful blogger your content must be more than just a means to an end of increasing your page ranking.

It must be an end unto itself and offer satisfaction to your readers.  Ultimately, Google’s job is to match inquiring minds with quality content that meets their needs.

Here are 10 ways to improve the quality of your content.

1.       Make your content useful

2.       Make your content pertinent

3.       Make your content informative

4.       Make your content fresh

5.       Make your content uplift

6.       Make your content entertaining

7.       Make your content newsworthy

8.       Make your content comment-worthy

9.       Make your content follow-worthy

10.     Make your content worthy of being shared

Focus in on those items and see how you can improve the quality of your content.  Remember this:  Robots have no sense of humor; they leave no comments and do not share.

They do not get uplifted. But, they do know when your content is fresh vs. canned! Even robots get turned off by canned content!

Great post. Now I'm wondering if the majority of the viewers of my own blogs are robots...

A good list...and robots reading your blog are very useful...but I'll be honest, I really just want the robot in your image - it's so cute!    Seriously though, there are so many canned content services out there and I do not recommend them - even if your "brand" gives you content - I highly suggest writing your own unique blog in your unique voice...because that is what will attract your BEST clients!

Lyn Sims Personally I enjoy the recipes and the flowers.  It shows to me another side of the blogger that is not real state specific every day.  I am drawn to those who are not one sided and only can talk real estate.  I worked with a company consulting the owner broker, who was so entranched in selling that no one wanted to invite her to parties.

We were at a private wine tasting at a home, and she started in real estate mode instead of wine, which was the purpose of being at this winery, where invitations were prized...OH SO Boring!  They would not have listed with her, if their lives depended on it.  The last straw was the 50th birthday party of the seller of a listing she had.  His daughter worked for the company as an assistant.  They were about to not invite her, and she asked me to have a talk with.  I did, and she shined.  I think people do not realize how boring they are.  A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - I love the last two lines of your blog about the bots. Your content is spot on.  I know that I get a lot of "bot" activity because of the word Sedona.  Sedona is a tourist-rich magnet for bots and spammers. I get at least 50 spam comments a day that are filtered out.

If you think of the individuals out in the audience and knowing they are busy and don't have time to burn. Then what you send up into the cloud to feed the Internet would be short, sweet, action packed with a little humor and genuine one to one structure. That is worthwhile, gets them coming back for more. Video blogs with the link to posts so the postee can drill down into the topic. Some folks learn better with audio, visual and not just read read read. Deliver it, serve it up anyway they want it best like your eggs. Great thought provoking post Ron and Alexandra Seigel !
