Lillian A. Vannett, North Dakota's 1st female RE Broker

passed on February 6th 2021.

Lillian started her Real Estate career at Watne Realtors in Minot. She sold RE for many years and served as the first female President of the ND Realtors Association in 1972 and again in 1976. She was named Woman of the Year in 1976 by The Minot Business & Professional Club and in 2013 Lillian was named as a charter member of the ND RE Education Foundation and SCORE Outstanding Member of the Year.

Hello Bob - I clicked on her obituary to find out some more details.  She seemed to have lived a full life that was filled with many activities where real estate was just one of them underscoring the importance of being fully engaged in living each day.  It's a good lesson for each of us.

Wayne Martin when I read her obit I was surprised that I did not know/know off her being we both got our start at Watne Realtors.

She truly was a Trail Blazer Raymond Henson, SRES, GRI . I did not know her but it would have been nice to have met her.

Yes she did Kat Palmiotti and I can hardly believe that I never met her. I'm guessing that she left Watne under bitter terms or they would have bragged about her. From the obit it sounds like she did start her own brokerage.

Lillian was a certified achiver A. She was so active in the community. She will be missed.

We are expecting a high above zero today Ron and Alexandra Seigel . We set a record of 9 days of total sub-zero temps. By this weekend we hope to see the 30's above. It will feel like spring has arrived.

Thank you Nina Hollander . I'm sorry that I never got to meet Lillian. As I mentioned in an earlier comment, I'm really surprised that I had not heard of her when I worked at Watne where she got her start.
