More Citrus News: Crunch Tangerines!

Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

We have had a wonderful selection of citrus fruit this year. This has been especially true with tangerines.  So far we have tasted clementines, satsumas, and novas (aka sumo).  Today at Bristol Farms, we spotted these called Crunch Tangerines.

My research revealed that Crunch Tangerines were developed by Noble Citrus, which is a Florida Tangerine.  Ron and I bought two and just had them for our lunch dessert.  They are crunchy, juicy, seedless and delicious.

"Each time you look at a tangerine, you can see deeply into it. You can see everything in the universe in one tangerine. When you peel it and smell it, it’s wonderful. You can take your time eating a tangerine and be very happy."

Hello Alexandra and Ron - crunch is a memorable name but it's not one I recall seeing in the stores.  Now, I will be checking a bit more closely.

Ed Silva Interesting, I don't keep our tangerines in the refrigerator.  They are on the counter in a bowl and they help with ripening the avocados.  A

At Christmas, a family member sent a gift box of Florida citrus.  There was a variety of different types from that state.  I think I may have actually tried one of those.

Morning Alexandra.

Around my area we enjoy the clementines, but now I'll be on a mission to find the crunch ones.

I love citrus but the key for me is whether it is easy to peel or not, haha.  I hate struggling to peel a juicy orange and having my hands and face all sticky.

Hi Alexandra... not a tangerine "species" I've seen or heard about then. Then again, maybe I wasn't paying attention, which I will do now just in case I see it here locally.
