Clean up your act!

Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 303302

I have a new listing coming up soon, and as usual, I scheduled a cleaning service to come in right before photos are to be taken to make the home look great. Normally the home owner actually spiffs up their home even before the cleaners arrive. Yesterday this was not the case. The owners, knowing that an appraiser, cleaning company, and photographer were due into the house, left on a short vacation and let the home like this.

It caused the cleaning crew extra hours and the listing agent (Me) twice as much to get this cleaned up. Maybe the home owners decided to let the cleaning people take care of their accumulated mess, or they just did not think. Certainly, the home in its original state was no where near show ready.

Luckily, their listing agent has the tools to take care of most home issues. The cleaning company tells me that I will not believe the transformation. I bet they are right.

Quite the mess.  To those owners, it may have just been the norm for them so they felt no need to worry

Hello Peter - the saying that states we hope/wish for the best but prepare for the worst comes to mind.  Good luck as your new listing makes it entry to market for sale.
