New Home Sales January 2021

On February 24, 2021, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide new single family home sale rose 4.3% to an annual rate of 923,000 homes in January of 2021 from 885,000 homes in December of 2020, and jumped 19.5% from in January of 2020 an annual rate of 774,000 homes.

The median new home sold value was $346,400, while the average sales price was $408,800 in January of 2021. There were estimated 307,000 new houses for sale, and 4.0 months supplies of available inventory at the end of January of 2021.
