'Being about excellence' has been my motto for many years. It means that I will go the extra mile, or ten, to give our clients the best possible service. Giving the best possible service is almost as great as receiving excellent service.
And when 'things' don't go as expected and the service is less than great, it stands out like a sore thumb. Recently I've had two experiences that were opposite of each other. One was incredibly awesome service and the other was not that great.
Yesterday, in walks a young man that doesn't appear to be old enough to be a licensed contractor. OMG this young man's depth of knowledge and attitude was amazing. He was so about 'being about excellence' that it blew our socks off. You see, his father is a contractor and taught his son well from a very young age. This young man has been a contractor in another state and just took his test to become one here in AZ. He and his fiancé now live here and intend to make AZ their home. We are looking forward to hiring this young man when the time is right. I have a feeling he's going to do extremely well.... extremely well.
The other experience is with our cleaning service. We adore the owner and know she is 110% about 'being about excellence'. She has done many of our move in/move out homes for us over the years and also cleans many of our client’s homes to this day. That is how good she is!
Last week she had a new gal with her. We didn't meet the new gal as we were out with clients. When we returned home, we started noticing half-done things? This is so not what we're used to by a long shot form our cleaning service. In fact, it was the opposite. I decided to talk with the owner this week in person, when she was at our house. I told her what happened and how we absolutely know that's not how what she believes in... which is 'being about excellence’. She let me know she would make sure all was perfect once again and she apologized for the gal's lack of attention to details. Thankfully she brought different gal this week that has a great attitude and I'm sure things will look good when she's done. I trust her.
'Being about excellence' creates awesome results and long lasting, trusting relationships!
