Marketing opens many new doors for real estate agents. That’s called “new business” in our profession. Agents have online and offline methods from which to choose, and the majority of agents select the online option. The Reason? There’s no cost!
The problem with limiting one’s marketing to online sources such as websites and blogging platforms is not everyone is computer savvy. However, everyone needs a roof over his/her head. A large percentage of business is lost when offline marketing is eliminated.
When I was actively working as a marketing agent, my game plan was to create an online blog post and complement it with offline sources. It’s truly a simple formula to work!!
My offline sources of choice were direct mail marketing with postcards to secure more “inventory,” and print marketing in the form of a full-page newspaper ad to display “that inventory.”
The flavor of the online blog post that introduced the new listing was reflected offline with the same font and similar text. The clients were very happy with the professional photography used and the creative writing to describe the best attributes of each property.
Marketing is successful when both online and offline are used and complement each other. Spend the money and reap the rewards.
Other homeowners are paying attention. Think as your next client will be thinking when they are “grading the quality of your marketing” while deciding which listing agent to call.
Do Not Cut Corners with Marketing Yourself or Your Inventory. It’s always a test. Prepare properly for the Win.
