1- Why Do I Love You?
Let me Count the Ways!
AR February Challenge
Counting the ways REALTORS make a difference begins with Community Service. Dedication to one's community is a positive thing about working with real estate agents, in this case, REALTORS who give back to their community. The Atlanta Board of REALTORS sponsors programs selected on a biennial basis by the Board of Directors.
During 2020, the efforts of these members, professionals who know their communities intimately, participated in both fundraising and volunteering efforts.
The volunteer efforts were focused on a wide range of Food Banks throughout the Atlanta area. The current fundraising focus assisted the Atlanta Children's Shelter. For several years running, an additional beneficiary has been Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
What is the Atlanta Children's Shelter? Since its founding in 1986, the ACS has provided education opportunities and given support to various families. In fact, they state that
"Since [our] inception, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter has
successfully assisted in stabilizing nearly 5,000
homeless families and over 8,000 homeless children
by transitioning homeless families into stable housing
and sustainable employment."
Probably the best way to understand their mission fully is to listen to them tell the story in their own video.
Food Banks are an integral part of the efforts in Atlanta to address the issue of hunger. REALTORS work within specific communities and understand the needs in each area. Their knowledge and commitment allows both personal hours of support and financial support to enhance the lives of others in our wonderful City of Atlanta.
The Atlanta Community Food Bank offers data since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. To see all, link is here.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta offers many volunteer opportunities. REALTORS bring their commitment by both fundraising and volunteering for the arts and crafts projects for the patients.
CHOA welcomes community involvement from individuals and groups. The hospital supplies suggestions for people who want to volunteer. Although this post focuses on the real estate community,REALTORS specifically, anyone may volunteer. Check here for the options.
