The Perfect Lap
Hi Kevin- I have that movie waiting in my queue but haven't watched it yet. BTW have you seen the new 'vette? We saw one in a parking lot a few weeks ago.

That mid engine Corvette has finally become a reality after threatening to entertain us during 30 years of experimental versions and a 30 year hiatus wherein I believe it has been perfected and it's beautiful. Caught a glimpse about 2 weeks ago ourselves Kathy.
Hi Kevin - saw the film back in the day when we were able to visit movie theaters - yeah, memories. Admittedly, I am not a car aficionado, but I enjoyed it.

Ford had only one thing on his mind and Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles made it happen. Plus a huge checkbook that Henry kept dipping into.
Good morning Kevin. Saw the movie. Would like to drive one. Saw one at an auto show and my body would not fit in that car. And, if I got in I would not be able to get out. Enjoy your day.

So many great scenes in that movie even though the truth was stretched somewhat. Miles was a breed of his own when it came to understanding the physics behind those wheels & tires. Enzo wasn't so ecstatic when he saw the numbers that a GT40 could pull in. That car was a beast to control.
Hi Kevin - I have not seen the movie yet but plan to see it.

Kevin,
We did see the movie, and I do like the look of the cars. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. A

In '66 they certainly were a tough animal to tame. Now we have Bugattis that exceed 300mph easily and can fetch milk at the local 7 Eleven without over-heating too. Now that is what I call a multipurpose vehicle.
Coming up March 18th there will be a Ford GT Heritage Edition at Sebring. Their production run is supposedly ending in 2022. They've been a fan favorite since 1964 and these updated versions are looking great. I hope to get there this year but time is running out.

Kevin, I have not ever seen this movie, and typically don't watch "car movies", but know many who have.

And thanks to you for commenting on it today Paul. I hope you had a chance to see the entire movie?
My husband's cousin just sold the business and is retiring Kevin. He gifted himself a brand new convertible Corvette, it is sweet and demands attention!
I hope all is going well for you and we will soon see your current posts.
Have an outstanding August.
