As I sit here sneezing for the 1,345th time in last three days...I wanted to give a quick update on my Covid Shot Journey.
I have sensitive eyes...and the white background on the large screen I am typing on is gnarly on the AR page. I have sneezed 4 times since I started writing this blog.
Usually about 1 time a year I get a dang cold and this is the week for that.
I first noticed it while talking on the phone the other day with Kathy Streib.
We were chatting about many things including the Covid shots and out heritage as well as AR things. We spoke about 25 minutes before I had to take a call from a client who then I was on the phone with for 30 minutes. A lot of talking and no drinks of water..
We all know...there is always that one indicator that we have when we are getting sick...or a cold. I felt it after those calls.
I have not lost my taste, sense of smell, or appetite...but it is dang hard to work when you are coughing and sneezing. So many meetings have been rescheduled.
In my case...it started in the throat...just that tickle you cannot get too. After a day of coughing that...it was a full blown cold and now is moving from my throat into my sinuses...which for me is a good thing as that means I am about 1 night away from being ahead of it.
What does all of this have to with Covid? Well, Friday night my favorite band is playing in Nebraska for the first time in two years...and then Monday is the 2nd Covid Shot.
I have tickets to the concert and of course only have had half the Covid doses.
I do not think they like to give the shot if you have a bad cold. For me...my immune system is busy right now and does not need the distraction of a virus entering the body via a shot.
Or the distraction of going to a concert and coughing on those around me.
Not sure what I will do for either...the shot will be determined by how I feel on Sunday.
Stay tuned...and I know that a lot of folks do not want the shots. I don't either as referenced in earlier blogs.... I have no advice...however...I received word a few hours ago that a 70 year old friend who was wintering on the east coast of Florida caught pneumonia that became Covid and she passed away last night. That was a shock to the thought process.
Until next time...make sure you have a next time!!
