The Palos Verdes Bay club is about a half mile south of Terranea, about 10 to 15 minutes to Torrance and about the same to San Pedro. You’ll notice that your GPS sometimes will take you through San Pedro as a quicker option than the shorter distance through Torrance it’s not always true but sometimes. Coastsite forms a rectangle with a Sea Cove, Nantasket Drive, and Beachview Dr. PVBC itself was 1970s apartments converted to condominiums. The rest of the homes around this loop are all in the family of the Spanish style so the whole area has a cohesiveness and yet each has its own distinctive design. This neighborhood near the Palos Verdes Bay Club is probably one of the better value areas to buy or rent and have water views. Obviously if you have a view, the more expensive it is. The Palos Verdes Bay Club is kind of a hidden gem: two pools, two tennis courts, an exercise room with an exercise room and its treadmills facing the water, about 70 feet from the cliffs. There is a big clubhouse that contains that workout room with a gathering room for parties and other group activities like cards. These homes are two bedroom, with two bath, although some of those have the second bathroom as less than a full bath. Some of the homes’ views are of the interior of the complex itself, while others look out across the ocean. Some of those have partial ocean views and some have up to full panoramic views of the ocean as well as the cliffs or north of the property. That Southern view will give you ocean, cliffs and lights views kind of similar to the queen’s necklace north of the Peninsula. However, that southern view won’t have all that massive city lights that way; instead it will be the lights from all the residential homes in that area. On the north side of the rectangle, which is Nantasket drive, on the edge of the rectangle to the north near Terranea there are four new construction homes being built there on one-third-acre lots with approximately five or 6000 square feet of living space and with many upgrades. These homes on Nantasket also will have some views of the ocean and the golf course depending on which one you’re looking at. One of those is already for sale! Text or email me for pricing and details on that. Next is a row of 10 Estate sized homes on Sea Cove drive on the west side of that rectangle. These homes are typically about seven or 8000 square feet in living area on about 3/4 of an acre sized lots. They look out west across the ocean from their backyards. For distances to schools groceries and commuting you may want to check out our video the worst things about living in our PD and I’ll give you hint: it’s a bit tongue-in-cheek [because] the pros of the area are so great, but there are things you might want to weigh in that might tip the scales for you personally.
