Recently Active Rain has become a little bit of a colourful greasy spoon, with all the food being bandied about. Pricing like potato chips? Scrambling some eggs, the devil's avocado. All colourful phrases, no?
I love all of the above. Potato chips, I still haven't met a bag I haven't liked and needed to inhale. Kettle Chips, Ridges, seasoned, they're all good and the more the merrier, in my humble opinion.
Eggs scrambled, or otherwise. Poached, fried, grilled, omelettes, all good, especially with hash browns, and a side of those little tiny pancakes slathered with butter, and topped with warmed maple syrup.
Avocados, I'm almost always willing to pay the upcharge to have them added to my order. I love them halved, with a spoon, I love them in a salad, on a sandwich, and guacamolé? Don't get me started. Give me a back of corn chips, some nicely seasoned guac, the superbowl on the telly and I'm in hog-heaven.
We are, indeed, a melting pot, here in Active Rain. I hope you're enjoying.
