Why should they list with you? I know why they listed with me when I was actively working! It was based on one very simple statement. She who has the most listings will get the most calls. "She who has the most toys, wins!"
If my marketing displayed 12 fresh listings, why would a buyer call an agent who displayed one? Why would another potential seller call an agent who did not display the approval of other homeowners?
There’s safety in numbers, and that statement applies to real estate listings. This is a “follow the leader” game. The greater the inventory, the more comfortable a potential seller will feel about listing with that agent.
That track record is like a badge of honor. The closed listings are like notches on a wooden pole. Many listing agents say they are not competitive. They are, or they are never to be “heavy hitters” or survivors in the business.
Dabbling in the real estate business is not a good game plan. One needs to be “all in” or “bail out.” That’s the attitude that I’ve always maintained. Thinking as a winning competitor will result in more than a fair share of listings. Our thoughts are very powerful. Think winning, with each and every listing appointment. Everyone wants to affiliate with a winning team!
