Throwback Thursday...Thoughts of Bluebonnets
Just a year ago we were beginning to understand Covid-19 and its impact on all of us. Texas was just beginning to place restrictions on bars and dining in restaurants. We were encouraged to stay at home.
We had hoped to take a car trip not far from us to view our beautiful Texas Bluebonnets but I would have to settle for the few that I saw out at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve...which remained open.
When I was a little girl it was kind of a tradition to have your photo taken in a field of bluebonnets. I still see many families with young children and grown-ups doing the same thing. (although from what I read recently, that is discouraged so as not to harm the Bluebonnets)
From what I understand, though, this year should be a good year for the Bluebonnets, so I see a car trip towards Brenham and College Station in my future.
