After 9 Weeks At Hospital I am Home

As I posted in an earlier post over 3 months ago my 27 year old daughter had a virus attack her heart. She had a heart transplant on January 11.

My wife or I has been with her the entire time until today when I returned home. We rented a hotel close to the hospital.

Long story short is my daughter is finally doing rehab at the hospital and should be coming home maybe in 2 weeks or so. Thanks to all who have been praying and contacting me for updates.

Update: 10/15/21

We have been back in the hospital for over a month due to my daughter catching a virus called RSV from me. Hopefully we come home the end of next week.

Update:12/1/21

Lauren had a relapse with her lungs and we are still in the hospital with hopes of leaving very soon.

Mike= I was thinking of you today when I had to go for a PFT (pulmonary) test in the Cardiac wing. I am so glad that your daughter had the transplant and is on the mend!!!! And I know that you and your wife are in need of some downtime. Keep us informed...I know that you can't wait for your daughter to return home.
