So, I happened to come across the Oscar nominations the other day... I usually don't pay a lot of attention to them but after a year of not going anywhere, I thought I'd check out what people were watching and came across "Mank" from NETFLIX... Lucy and I spend a considerable amount of time with TCM on TV... It's on in the background like radio and we just absolutely love old movies... As many of you know, Ben Mankiewicz is the primary host after the death of Robert Osborne and the movie "Mank" is about, if I did things correctly, his grandfather... Anyway, it's shot in B&W, acted very well and if you're an old movie fan I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we did... A great background story about the making of "Citizen Kane"... Make real popcorn and sit back for a good story.
Hello Ernie - even prior to the announcement of the Academy Award nominations, Mank was on my list of movies I wanted to see. In recent years, I typically have seen many, if not most, of the nominated films prior to the Oscars telecast, it's been more than a year since I have been able to step foot inside a theater.

Love the black and whites, the old genre movies to study, for historical perspexctive of the country and world at that place in time Ernie. I agree with Michael! Miss the big screen of the real deal theatre! We have an turn of the century on in Houlton and cross the border to experience movies in Woodstock New Brunswick Canada prior to COVID iron curtaining the International boundary line.
Good Tuesday morning, Ernie.
Take care, be safe and have a productive week.
My wife and I like watching some of the classics ! We’ve seen “ It’s a Wonderful Life “ just before numerous Christmas….
