We just finished a two hour owners meeting - preparing for our big general meeting this afternoon. We have put everything out for our agents to help decide what direction we go. How we pay for things, whether we stay with our franchise or go independant. How many owners do we have? Everyone has had two weeks to think about this. I am a Gemini so like my sign I am always of two minds. I am looking forward to the unexpected, the "ah, hah" that comes from one of our people. I like the ideas that come up and you think to yourself "how in the world could I have missed this?" Among our agents we have people who have spent years in advertising, years in display and marketing, world travelers, people who have owned business and who have run businesses, and 20-somethings who look at things very differently than aging baby-boomers. I'll keep you posted.
It sounds like either life shattering or or life enhancing changes are afoot.
Change can be good. I hope the outcome is positive for you.

Well, that was interesting. There's somewhat more support for staying with our franchise than I thought. There's also a lot more interest in buying in than I thought. There is a lot of support for more espirit de core. I thought that was one of our strengths already but our people want more. I am going to want to do more community visibility stuff. I think this process will be worth thousands of dollars in commissions to us just by re-emphasizing our focus. Thanks you guys for chiming in.
