A Rookies first client - is there anything better?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty

I had the sheer joy of watching a rookie sign their first buyer agency agreement this morning.

I mean is there anything better than your first client?

Ya know what else is a joy?  Watching how she has created her success.  She has done an open house every week for the last 5 weeks.  She has followed up, emailed, called, and worked with an energy  that is infectious for those around her.

Who knows if this thing will work out.  Who knows if her client will buy, refer, and be a source of more business.

But, one thing is for sure - her sense of accomplishment today made it clear to her that getting into this business was all worth it.

Good for you Ana - you made me proud.

I remember my first few clients.  Each one was very exciting.  I said things to them that I didn't even know I knew.  It's amazing how much you actually retain from those classes.

We hired an agent and gave her a client relocating to the area, I had to go with her as she did not have a lock box key yet and had received her license the day before. After showing the 3rd home, the client said the second home is the one, my husband does'nt have to see it. She closed in 3 weeks, wow, this is easy the new agent said... ARGH!

The only thing better would be the first closing and the cashing of the first check!

When Looking to Buy or Sell - Make the Right Move

hehe - I remember my first client... My mentor said; "Are you sure you want to work this guy?".  The next day; I showed him 6 places.  My mentor fell over when I called and asked - Can you help me write the offer now?  Place #6 - was the one.  We closed a few weeks later.
