A large sinkhole opened up in the Villages Florida near the post office. The hole was about 10 feet across and 5 feet deep. Fortunately no buildings or people were affected by this. It was filled back in a few days later. During Florida's dry season, the ground shifts a bunch. Then when it starts raining, the water pressure causes all types of chaos including holes that open in the ground like this.
If you have questions about sinkholes or your house is affected by one, please give me a call. My company specializes in buying homes with sinkhole problems and fixing them if possible.
