Kenwood Forest at Bradley Blvd. and Arlington Road
Kenwood Forest is a community of townhouse condos built in a series of courtyards with lots of green space. The townhouses are two, three or four bedroom homes on two or three levels with decks or patios. In addition there are a few studios and one bedroom apartments. The community is pet friendly with people arranging play dates for their dogs!
The people who live in Kenwood Forest are a diverse demographic group with first time homebuyers, young families, couples, empty nesters, and people downsizing from the suburbs. There are children in the community waiting for the school bus each morning and retirees too. There are people here from around the world and across the United States. It is a popular place to live for people stationed at Walter Reed. Here are the Kenwood Forest homes for sale near downtown Bethesda.
Crescent Plaza
Located at 7111 Woodmont Avenue, the Crescent Plaza Condominiums in Bethesda, MD offer a great opportunity for people searching for an affordable condo in the heart of downtown Bethesda. Crescent Plaza is a popular condo community for people who want a great price for their new home which allows them to park their cars in the garage and metro to work or fun. If you would rather get in a run or a long bike ride, the Capital Crescent Trail is just a block away. The Adagio
If you are looking for a luxury building, you should check out the Adagio on Wisconsin Avenue and Bradley Blvd. There are 92 units at the Adagio ranging in size from 809 square feet up to 3500 square feet. The Adagio was built in 2006 and its glass walls and large balconies provided a delightful change from the traditional condominium buildings that Washington and Bethesda had seen before. Just click here to see all the condos for sale and for rent at the Adagio.
There are several floorplans ranging from a one bedroom one bath condo (809 square feet) to a one bedroom plus den with two full baths (900 square feet) to a two bedroom plus den and two and a half bath condo with 1300 square feet - and then the largest with the 3500 square feet.
Many of the condos have balconies or terraces with some looking out on the street life of Wisconsin Avenue and others looking out over the green space of Bethesda and the Capital Crescent Trail. Some special units offer loft style upper levels with 14 foot ceilings, while others are two stories with private terraces. Standard finishes include walnut hardwood floors, Poggenpohl cabinets, Miele, Bosch and Sub-Zero stainless appliances and marble baths.
If you are looking for a luxury building in downtown Bethesda, you might also look at the Cheval, the Stonehall, the Lauren or Lionsgate.
Lakeside Terrace
Close to Montgomery Mall at Democracy Boulevard, Lakeside Terrace is a great alternative for anyone who wants a bit of space at a bargain price. With some of the prettiest views in all of Bethesda, I love the balconies at Lakeside Terrace which overlook the little lake behind the condo building!
Lakeside Terrace is a community of 215 condominiums overlooking a beautifully landscaped property and a private lake. Residents enjoy on site amenities such as tennis courts and an outdoor pool, as well as the ideal location for an easy commute to work and access to shopping, dining and entertainment. Once you look at a condo at Lakeside Terrace, you may decide that you will only look at condos with a waterview. Imagine the change of seasons here and the views you will have of geese on the water!
There are lots of condos for sale here at Lakeside Terrace and the nearby highrise buildings, also with great views of the lake.
The Promenade
Just a mile or two up Wisconsin Avenue is the Promenade, a luxurious coop that offers a high level of service for an affordable price. The resort style amenities include a grocery store at the Promenade Market and Deli, the Promenade Cafe which serves light meals and snacks, a full service hair salon, indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis facility, and a full sized commercial quality gym. If you never want to leave the property, try the doctors here, the travel agency, and the spa! There is a dry cleaner, tailor, and shoe repair and an interior designer too for your comfort! The units at the Promenade currently for sale are large and offer great views from the balconies. If you want to soar an eagle, the Promenade may be your style.
These are only a few of the choices you have in moving to Bethesda and the new Marriott Headquarters. As a Realtor with 32 years experience and even longer as a Bethesda Resident, I welcome you to the Washington DC metro area and would like to do whatever I can do help you and your family find a great home here. I moved at least once a year with my family until I was in middle school, so I understand how hard a move can be on you and your family, and how important it is to find a good school, a great neighborhood, the amenities that make a house a home - all in record time at a great price! Let me help - it would be my privilege. Please give the Lise Howe Group a call at 240-401-5577 or email us at lise@lisehowe.com.
