More great news for Northwest Indiana... I saw a story in The Indianapolis Star today about the Indiana Dunes State Park. A Web site called TripAdvisor.com ranked the Indiana Dunes State Park in Chesterton in it's "Top 10 Family Beach" survey.
The site ranked Indiana Dunes 6th on the list. According to the Indy Star, TripAdvisor.com said the beach's "soft sand, calm and temperate water, and family-friendly activities and amenities," put it on the top ten list. Indiana Dunes is on Lake Michigan in Porter County, Indiana.
The park is wrapping up a $2.7 million renovation and, according to the Indianapolis Star, everything should be ready for the big Memorial Day weekend. The park is replacing the toll-booth style gate houses with a more modern design to match the two stone gate houses at the park.
It's great to see such a beautiful Northwest Indiana landmark get noticed. Make sure you plan a trip to the Dunes sometime this summer!
