“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
If you look back at yesterdays verse and then read in Matthew leading up to this verse you will see that Jesus is responding to their questions about when did they help him when he was in need? The answer was when we do something for the least his brothers and sisters, we do it for Jesus.
There are so many ways to help. Can you help someone and not expect anything in return? I know of people who often pay for the person behind them in the drive through. How about getting groceries for someone in need or dropping items off at the food shelf. Could you give quality clothes, boots, shoes, gloves, etc to a place that can get them to those in need.
What offering over your tithe could really help your church, charity, or community out. Is the Holy Spirit whispering to you or pointing you in a certain direction of a need that you are able to help with? You will get direction more often going forward and you will be more aware of it and in a better position to help someone in need now.
LORD I WANT NO GLORY FOR DOING WHAT YOU CALL ME TO DO. I DO WANT MORE PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF GOD. AND I THANK YOU FOR PUTTING ME IN POSITION TO HELP ONE OF YOUR OWN.
