Track record.



Bank account.

and so on, and so on . . . 


We set goals, write business plans, make projections and fret if things change in ways that don't sit well.


Some worry about 'who is ahead of them' and strive to catch up or overtake someone else's individual journey. 


But in truth, the only deal, the only goal is to do your best in the NOW. Those successes do multiply and if you don't do as well as you wanted, the lesson learned will make you that much better next time.


An 'overnight success' may have years of backstory.

Time and time again, doing your best work the minute that 'on air' light flashes! 


Joyfully doing, growing, being excited, tightening up your act with every word, every keystroke, every new presentation, every transaction.

And learning, and learning, and learning . . .

I know some agents who know every bit of business every agent is doing. I'm competitive but not that competitive. I do my business and find time to still have a life. And you're right, we do think about the next deal. I know if I do the work, it will pay off in 30, 60, 90 days. So, I do the work then enjoy my family and friends.

My first broker encouraged 'keeping tabs' on the top producers to see how and what they are doing . . . I don't subscribe to that . . . we're all creative enough to brand ourselves. And let them wonder what we will do next!

I like to think that the mic clicks on for each client, because each one has different needs.  Then, when we have accomplished their goal, it clicks off.  Sometimes we have several mics going at one time, and sometimes none.  Not to panic at that time, take some downtime for yourself.  PS. Personally, I pick and choose for whom I turn on the mic because I don't just want noise, I want order and a feeling of accomplishment.

I have always subscribed to doing the right thing for my client and giving them the knowledge and tools to help them make decisions.  No matter the tax bracket that is the same for everyone. I have to be able to sleep at night and as an added bonus MOST clients appreciate that and become raving fans if not family.
