Duy-Loan T. Le was born in Vietnam back in 1962. She fled to the United States without her father in 1975 ending up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Alief Hasting High School at sixteen as Valedictorian. In 1976, she received recognition as “Citizen of the Month” from the Kiwanis International Club.
In 1982, at nineteen she received her undergraduate BSEE degree, magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and obtaining her MBA in May of 1989 from the University of Houston. She is married to Tuan D. Dao, they have two sons, she also has a black belt in Taekwon-Do.
What you may not know about Duy-Loan is that after graduation she started working for Texas Instruments, she was the first woman and Asian elected as a Texas Instruments Senior Fellow.
