This Week...A Focus on Earth
The weather is improving for many of us so it has been a good week to focus on Earth Day. I also learned that today is National Go Birding Day!!

When I look at store shelves or ads, so much of what I see is meant to be thrown away after one use.
When we were in Delray Beach, I loved the beach clean-ups but it was also sad to see cigarette butts, plastic bags and bottles, and other trash either thrown on the sand or washed up onshore.

And I will never forget the sight of a pelican struggling with a fishing line wrapped around its beak. We were under the bridge going out of the inlet and the current was taking us away from it. We called the Marine Patrol and hoped for the best.
It’s up to us to teach our children and others. We have to be the stewards as we gently pass through.
The presence of a single bird can change everything for one who appreciates them.
