After a fierce battle, Lottie Kendall lost her battle with cancer on Friday, April 30, 2021.
To know Lottie Kendall is to Love her.
Lottie was many things to many people. A wife. A Mother. A Grandmother. A Neighbor. A Realtor.
The list goes on and on. Many hearts are left broken.
Lottie has many ActiveRain Friends too.
I write this post with the permission of her family. All comments left here will be shared with her family.
Lottie loved San Francisco.
If you know her or follow her ActiveRain blog you already know that.
Her zest for life and spending time outdoors is palpable.
She so enjoyed yoga.
She loved hiking with friends and her husband, Gene, and exploring new trails in the Presidio.
There are no words to explain what I am feeling over the loss of my friend, Lottie. I do know there is a special connection or bond with a cancer sister.
When I first came out with my confession of having cancer, Lottie was the first to embrace me and share her story of breast cancer 20 years prior. That connected us. And we stayed connected for so many other reasons. As I stated above, to know Lottie is to love her.
The photo below was taken at an AR Meet-Up in 2013 at Antonio Cardenas home in Castro Valley.
Lottie lights up a room. She always has and now she is a bright light in Heaven.
The photo below was taken at the same Meet-Up. We Rainmakers sure know how to have fun!
I had a long phone conversation with Lottie on 4/21/2021. I had no idea it would be my last.
The things we talked about shall remain private and confidential. It was just so deeply personal.
My last words to Lottie were:
I love you, Lottie.
And her response: I love you too, Kathleen.
Do not ever wait or hesitate to tell a friend that you love them.
Rest in Peace, Sweet Lottie
Until We See Each Other Again.
