I'm sorry, when I saw the Title all I thought of was food.  I must be hungry. Happy Cinco De Mayo Day.  Bill Salvatore

Good morning Sharon - that is cute.  So many people are raising chickens for the eggs.

Good morning Grant. I've lost count of how many chickens my son and daughter-in-law now have. Double digits. The boys love them. We benefit by getting eggs!

Sharon Tara good morning, Sharon... now who'd have thought there was an International Respect for Chickens Month (an entire month!)! Or a quote about chickens from Ralph Waldo Emerson!

May 05, 2021 06:14 AM
Sharon Tara

I know, right?

A whole month to respect chickens. I wonder if the other animals know about this???

Actually it's not just chickens...ducks share the month with them...stay tuned!

Although I was vegan for almost three years, I do enjoy chicken. I could never eat any of my grandchicks though. LOL

Hello Sharon - Chicken Little?  Perhaps.  But the thinking is not such a short story and then there is the existential message.  Deep thinking for a Wordless Wednesday. . .

Deep thinking only for deep ponderers like yourself. LOL

I'm sure you could write a post or two on the subject.

Such a cute photo of Henry.  Chickens are messy but they taste good.

Henry has a yard full of them...not to be eaten though. The eggs are eaten, and they are wonderful!

Sharon, I'm like Rocky Dickerson   as I like them roasted or even as kebobs off the grill.

Hi Sharon- I really love that quote. You know, when you think about it, all of us would become vegetarians. But no...I do love my pork.

Hi Sharon, Thanks for this entertaining post -  I, too, have a dream where chickens can answer the question about their road crossing motives.

Such a cute picture and I got a chuckle from the words.  Chickens should indeed be able to cross the road without their intentions being questioned, haha.

Sharon Tara - it's definitely time to stop asking why and becoming more compassionate. What a great message!

Funny, but at the same time so poignant. You captured it well in this one.

Kathy Streib  Well I did the vegetarian thing (vegan actually) and I'm glad I did. Meat did find it's way back into our diet, but we still try to eat mostly plant based as much as possible now.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, CRB, Phoenix Broker  A very old joke and I wonder what the back story to it is.

Bob Crane  I'm amazed how many chickens I see pecking the ground along the side of the road...have yet to see any of them attempt a crossing though.

Brian England  Exactly! Imagine how annoying it would be to have our intentions questioned every time we crossed the road!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP  And I'm not at all curious as to their motives. LOL

I do wonder why they wander to close to the road though. I worry for their safety.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD  Thank you! Henry and his brothers are real animal lovers. One of his brothers (only 9 years old) doesn't eat meat because he loves animals so much.
