What's the best way to test paint samples

By
Home Builder with The Flooring Girl

Years ago, I wrote an article on my site about how to test paint samples on your walls.

It tells you about all the watchouts when you are using paint testers to find the right paint shade, as well as the best way to use those testers.

But, since then, I've found a newer and better way to test paint shades.

Now, you can get premade paint samples...made with real paint (so it's color correct) and with 2 shades of paint (which is what you want when you are changing the color on the wall.

And, it's easier and less messy. Plus, you don't need to buy a paint brush.  Plus, they are a bit less expensive than the paint testers you buy in the store.

And, best of all, they are sent right to your door. You don't even need to leave your home.  These samples are peel and stick.  They are so simple.  You can check out these paint samples here.

There are so many benefits to using these samples as you can move them from room to room.  And, by using these samples, rather than going sample crazy on your walls...and then seeing those samples telegraph through the paint...you keep your walls clean and pristine.

So, if you have clients that are repainting, either because they are selling or about to move into a new home they just bought, you may want to suggest this convenient solution to them.

I've been suggesting these to my readers for the last 15 months and I know that thousands of people are buying these.

And, of course, since the world has turned upside down, they have become even more popular.

Hopefully, you can look like a hero by recommending these to your clients.

Also, in case it helps your clients, I also have a free ebook download where they learn how to pick theh perfect paint shade every time.  (You can find it on the side bar and many of my blog posts on paint shades).

Hope this helps.

Hi Debbie this is a pretty neat idea that is new to me! I like to test colors by painting a sheet of poster board and hanging up in the room, or do a few. Low commitment but easy to change if you decide its too much, not enough, or just the wrong feeling. Color is mood.

Hi Debbie- This post brings back memories of when we had big splotches of paint on our walls in one of our houses. We lived with them for about a week so we could see what they looked like at different times of the day.

The Samplize are a great idea and large enough to get a proper appreciation for the color.

They've had these for years & I think are excellent. Problem is if you have a shade that is just a little darker or lighter, then I'd do the custom.
