Throwback and Thankful Thursdays...To Have Known Them

Like our offline life the people we lose is hard.  Carol Provenzale was the first rainer I remember losing then Russell Lewis. While I didn't know Donald I do remember all the funny graphics he left you in his comments.  Lottie is still a fresh shock and loss for all that knew her online and off. Beautiful post.

Thank you for your thoughtful reminder of two special people.  It is good to know that they are remembered.

Lou was awesome. I will sometimes look back at his very last post on AR. It was Amazing and prophetic. 

Hi Kathy - Lou has been missed by many, many of us.  Sadly I didn't know that Donald had passed away. I loved his sense of humor and his down to earth manner.  Both are (still are in my mind) great men.

Kathy the person who invited me to ActiveRain is no longer with us as well.  Little did I know when Phil Turner invited me, the impact that invitation would have.

Lou left many kind words on my blog over the years - and I never reached out to him to say thank you. Sure, I liked his comments, I responded, but I never picked up the phone and said: Lou, just wanted to call to say thank you.

Your post is my gentle reminder to hit that pause button every once in a while and take a moment to say/write thank you out loud. Thank you!!

Do  love them and become inter-connected through it all

Wow what a post, I miss our great friend  Lou  Ludwig.... I had no idea about Donald... what are the odds you had them together in person and what a great photo... I am no sad to hear about Donald... I was not that close to him but he always commented on my posts, Endre

I miss both Lou Ludwig and Donald Urschalitz very much. Although I never met either one in person, I enjoyed their thoughts and humor immensely Kathy Streib 

Hello Kathy - I have missed a couple days here so I missed this post when it was originally posted on Thursday.  It's another reminder of the importance of "living each day" because our time on this planet is limited.  

Both the wisdom of Lou Ludwig as well as the wit of Donald Urschalitz is missed.  Their memories are not just a part of ActiveRain history but are woven into the fabric of our knowledge of them as people who shared a part of them with others.  What a nice remembrance and how fortunate are you with this special photo of the three of you.
