What most homeowners can do is clean and paint, after that it's best to hire the right people that know how to do it quickly and right.

I have been involved in a few do-it-yourself home upgrade projects in the past. I would much rather hire someone.

Hi Lyn- my husband is very handy around the home but he does know his limitations. And if not limitations, he knows when calling in the professionals means it will be completed a lot faster. 

Always get a professional, otherwise it can cost big time! Ask my husband Lyn...LOL!

For me it's all about the trying and being willing to fail and Aletting more ideas come of it

Lyn, in early spring I was showing homes to a first-time buyer couple, and we saw MANY DIY projects that should have been done by contractors.  AND, those were the homes that said in MLS - strictly sold AS IS.  Buyer beware! 

Lyn Sims - I'm so glad I saw this blog post today. I went to the Hardware store this morning and realized my limitations. Because of you, I feel confident about what I need to do. I realized it's not about trying to save money, it's about doing the right thing because mistakes are costly. Plus, there are safety issues I have to consider too. Thank you, Lynn. 

Oh, yeh, DIY projects are still very popular indeed. Stores like home depot and similar did very well during pandmania years.
