It is a Miami-Dade County city located about 15 miles north of Downtown Miami. The city borders Hialeah and Westview to the north, Miami Lakes to the east, Miami Gardens to the south, and Golden Glades to the west. The Gratigny expressway (FL-924) and I-95 provide excellent access to Opa-industrial locka's areas.


The Gratigny Logistics Center is a new project that will begin construction in 2020. These modern industrial parks have appealing locations for tenants seeking to do business, mainly on Miami-Dade County's eastern side.


Several of the modern business parks are outside of Opa Locka's city limits and in unincorporated Miami-Dade. Although there are some bargains to be had in industrial properties in older sections of Opa Locka, buyers should be aware that the city is in dire financial straits, which could have ramifications for companies.
