We have started a GO GREEN promotion and we are starting off by giving out seedling packages. Then we have recycled grocery totes for customers to use instead of paper or plastic bags. We can send them to you direct if you contact us.

Interestingly, I went on a little trip to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to visit the Amish, a few weeks back. What I learned from them, could do a lot for many of us. I don't think I'm quite ready to go back to a house entirely without electricity, and to give up my car yet. But, I've learned to think more simply. I must admit, I've cut my gasoline bill by 25%. Learning to become greener is a process! But if we all do a little, it will help a lot!
By the way - I think that Pennsylvania Power and Light, must have a visceral disdain for the Amish. I rode down country road after country road; power lines going down the streets, with very few power lines going to the houses:-) Those folks are among the greenest I've known!
I have been there myself many times. I know I am truly trying to cutback on my carbon footprint. I have given away seeds for planting as this also helps the environment. I shut my car off rather than idle, I recycle, avoid plastic bags whenever possible. I make sure any trips I make to the office even to have other things scheduled so I do not make unnecessary runs and so on. Any little bit we do helps.
