My new real estate marketing campaign - out of the box!

I have been a licensed Realtor in Idaho for 30 years.  It is hard to come up with new ideas on how to stand our and market yourself with over 1.4 million Realtors nationwide. I think I finally came up with it . . . 

 

Realtors are always looking for motivated clients.  This target market would find motivated sellers as well as potential new cash buyer's.

This idea is still in the beta phase as I need to figure out a few details.  Do I take what I have learned on Shark Tank and license the idea?  Do I sell marketing rights by zip codes like Zillow?

I am thinking on the back, it might say:

Follow me to your next home!
(lights on for safety)

For the developers out there, I could advertise "Lots available soon" or "Next phase coming soon".  

Aren't you dying for new business?  You better hurry and reserve your spot now, this opportunity is only available for a limited time!

I won't take it personal if no one rides with me, I would shift the blame on Covid-19.  When I was a kid, my father thought about buying a hearse for a family car so if my brother and I got loud, he could just roll up the window to the back and ignore us.

As the world population increases, we should look at multi-level options.  When I bought a duplex lot (zoned for my wife and I) I felt like a horrable buyer's agent since I didn't try to negotiate price or terms.  I guess that is why they say an agent shouldn't represent themselves.

My mother's maiden name is Harlem. I sell condo's and co-op's in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. I just couldn't be "that" guy in the name of marketing.

I also live in a high point (geographically) in Manhattan. I thought about adding things in my marketing like "Future Beach Front Property" or "Rising sea level safe property" but again- I really don't want to be "That" guy.

A starter home here is $500k. No matter the price point- it would catch a lot of attention for the wrong reasons, and while I know the saying there is no such thing as bad publicity- it's not my way of doing business.

1996 I did a Hearse in front of the office with a sign saying "we specialize in listings that expired the first time get you second opinion before you list". Not sure why I stopped doing that. But at Halloween it was the place to be also with two Mannequins  dressed in black and one in white complete with real estate jackets and all.

We don't have many expired listings in Boise.  If they listed 10% over market, they just needed a six month listing and the price would have caught up.  However, I suggest you bring that idea back to life.

When I was in college, there was a student who drove an old hearse.  He definitely stood out and everyone knew who he was.  I do think people will remember you.  May not want to ride with you but will remember you!

This is the second time I have been tempted to buy one.  Maybe third time will be the charm.  For what I paid to lease one for a one time delivery last year  it is tempting to plan ahead.  I wonder if I could rent it out on Turo?

There is a company here that offers limo rides to closings and your house on TV every Sunday Morning at 9 AM  Jim Paulson but to be honest not my style, but if it works for you that is what counts

Does that agent represent a certain cemetery or is she an independent lot broker?
