As an American, a Patriot, a Veteran, I am concerned for America. I'm concerned about our very existence and survival. I was on Long Island on September 11, 2001. It is a memory that is etched in my memory forever.
I just brought my children to school and myself to work at their school when we received a call, "A plane hit the WTC" rang out with fear. The gentleman who delivered that message (My friend Rick C) was supposed to be on the 103rd floor that day, but his son broke his collar bone the day before and was in too much pain to be alone, so he asked his dad to stay home.
Being in the flight path to LaGuardia, JFK & McArthur Airports and being use to the sound of planes roaring overhead drew an incredible eeriness in its absence. I've never seen Long Island Expressway so barron. My ride home was terrifying. My children were silent.
There's talk of change in Washington. The change I want to see is a safer America, less dependence on foreign oil, people returning to the God of their youth, children being taught to honor, respect, protect & defend this great country.
I wouldn't tell you how to vote, but I will say consider the following and evaluate the price that has been paid for the freedom we enjoy.
WORLD WAR II - PICTURES
A U.S. solider surveys a German concentration camp. It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.
He did this because he said in words to this effect: 'Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some b*****d will get up and say that this never happened' 'All that is necessary for the > > triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing' Edmund Burke.
This week, the UK removed The Holocaust from its school > > curriculum because it 'offended' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. In memory of the 36+ million who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated. Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
