Good morning Sharon! Being the third Thursday does that mean June 17th?

I would definitely want some of his farm fresh eggs!  Such great photos you share with us each and every week!

Rocky Dickerson  I don't know where I got the "third Thursday in June" part.

I deleted that line, thank you so much for pointing that out to me.

It is actually celebrated annually on June 3.

Bill Salvatore - YVP Blog  Fresh eggs are the best! We enjoy our eggs we get from my son's chickens.

My grandson, Henry, was very proud when he came out of the coop with that egg!

Brian England  Yes, we enjoy our eggs that Henry gathers for us. It is AMAZING how much easier it is to peel a hard boiled egg when the eggs are fresh!

I am always amazed by all the days that have stuff assigned to them.  Henry is adorable, and happy egg day to you also.  A

I should have read this earlier before I had breakfast.  Did the egg make it into the kitchen?

Hi Sharon and Oops... tell Henry that we skipped our egg white omelets today for a waffle and French Toast at Another Broken Egg.

Well, I learnt something today, and did actually enjoy a hard boiled egg for breakfast. Love the photo, it says so much. Enjoy your day.

The incredible edible egg. A half dozen or more gets me through the week. Had I known about the holiday I could've doubled up my dose!

Ron and Alexandra Seigel  I know. It is kind of crazy. I wonder how one goes about making some silly thing a "holiday".

Ed Silva  Yes, the egg made it safely into the kitchen. It may even be one of the eggs we brought home with us that day.

Will Hamm  Probably a happy memory for the grandkids too! My grands love their chickens!

Kathy Streib  I'm sure Henry will forgive you! As long as you enjoyed your breakfast!

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543  I love hard boiled eggs....egg salad especially!

Roy Kelley  Thank you Roy. Hope you are having a great week!

Chris Ann Cleland  Pretty much! I have had trouble finding one for some of my Wordless posts, but more times than not I find a "holiday" to use.

Kevin J. May  We don't go through too many in a week, unless needed for a recipe. I do love a good omelet or plate of scrambled now and then. And egg salad is a yummy lunch!

Grant Schneider  My son has quite a few chickens and we really do enjoy getting the fresh eggs. Recently there was a coyote attack on the chickens and it caused anxiety, reducing the number of eggs produced. I'm waiting for the supply to reach the point that we get eggs again.

Carol Williams  HaHa. Yes it is!

How fantastic that the kids get to be around chickens and enjoy fresh eggs. I know my grandson's in Alaska appreciate fresh eggs now. And, they also enjoy the hens roaming around the yard.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, CRB, Phoenix Broker  I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD  They each have responsibilities caring for the chickens too, which is good. They have cats, a dog and a bunny inside the house too.
