The times they are a-changing. We have been isolated and quarantined for so long. Wearing masks living in a kind of science-fiction-like environment. Let's face it did you ever think we would live our lives in fear of catching a deadly virus. I know I did not. I was truly scared
In 1918 There was the terrible influenza flu that killed 25 million people in the first six months this virus originated in Spain and we still get a Flu shot every year to prevent it
I recently saw a news show showing that people were so relieved that this epidemic was over that it is believed that it may have sparked the mood of the Roaring Twenties. The Roaring Twenties was a time of gaiety and prosperity. Everything was going right, fashion was outrageous, yes bold and exciting and so was the music. Life was good.
There is a lesson we should perhaps learn from history and think about and read about as it was followed by the great depression. History is known to repeat itself so perhaps we should think and learn
Everyone now is so happy to be out without a mask to see each other again I was asked what is your plan for the future?
As far as traveling I am not planning to travel further than my own front yard as Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz said there is so much to do here. I love to swim and last year during the COVID 19 restrictions our pools were closed. So this year I intend to enjoy the pool and see my friends and neighbors. I am enjoying my found freedom. I carry a mask in my handbag and try to remember to keep one in the car for a few places that still make you wear one. Otherwise, it feels good to walk about without a mask, and thank goodness for the vaccine and the freedom it has provided
Eating out at local eateries was also prohibited so dining at local eateries will be enjoyed. We have so many wonderful places to eat here in Philadelphia and New Jersey. I know I was craving a Great Philly Cheese Steak. Sadly many have closed their doors permanently.
How am I changing how I am going to do business?
Many of you know I have changed my office but I am still the same person I have always been I work from referrals and past clients. If you read my blogs and call me then we have a connection. I feel I can help you I will if not I will refer you to an agent that can. My office has over 300 local agents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I have a National referral base called Active Rain that hosts the top agents across the country so if you need an agent outside the local area I have the best to refer you to from all the top agencies.
Last but not least I want to thank all the members of Active Rain who participate every Tuesday in our Zoom Meetings we learn so much and create real lasting friendships
