Interesting Things While Showing Homes

By

I have some relocating buyers that are looking in older areas, and do prefer a home that has not been completely remodeled.    So, we have seen some VERY interesting things in the last few weeks!  Some things I have seen before, and some things were new to me.

This "cat door" was FIVE FEET off the floor, so the previous owners must have had something for the cat climb up on to get out.

This was probably the BEST, had never seen a door handle like this - have you?

Nina Hollander, Broker that little door was in a basement bedroom with a very high window, too strange.

Bob, it has been very interesting with these buyers, as they prefer the older homes, which comes with some interesting things.

Kathy Streib I have so enjoyed viewing these older homes over the last few weeks.   The one with the door handle above is one they may write on this weekend.

Brian England it was a bedroom door, and there wasn't a way to lock it, that I could find.

Good morning Joan. Can understand the cat door, but must say have never seen a door handle like that. Just when you think you have seen it all, surprise. Enjoy your day.

Good morning Joan - I could see a cat jumping up to that door.  But I don't who designed that door handle.

Those are interesting photos and they do make you wonder how they were used - and why. I think the pet door questiong has been solved.  As for the door handle, perhaps to keep little hands from being able to easily open a door?

Wayne, I thought the same thing, even had to "open it" to see how it worked, very interesting!

The cat door is obvious and that second lock is to prevent people from reaching around to turn a nob
