National Trails Day: Carolina Thread Trail

The annual American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day is the country’s largest celebration of trails featuring a series of outdoor activities across the United States designed to promote and celebrate the importance of trails to our communities. National Trails Day encourages people to discover their local trials, become active concerning trail issues, and share their excitement for the outdoors.
In the Charlotte region, National Trails Day will be held at Mount Holly's Catawba Riverfront Greenway and Tuckaseege Park. It's a free outdoor community festival, which will feature guided bike and walking tours, hiking, yoga, free kayaking rentals, live music, nature activities, dog park, bike rentals, food trucks, a farmers market, and more.
