Maui's median home price now over $1,000,000

Aloha, Georgie - I am not too surprised but it's always interesting to see price comparisons of cities.  It can definitely be an eye-opener for those looking to relocate.  

Truly amazing, Georgie... but I'm not surprised to hear this. That's easily three times our median sale price in the Charlotte region.

Wow, that is quite amazing and I didn't realize that the cost of living was that high there, but it makes sense.  Such a beautiful place to call home!

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - With median homes prices going up in every single state, I wouldn't be surprised if in the immediate future very few people will be able to buy houses. Prices have gone up substanially in my area but nothing like Maui's. I wish you continued success and happiness in all that you do. 

It's no secret that the the cost of hallowed ground can pricey, but worth every cent!

Hi Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - I don't follow the Maui market much except with your posts.  But about 10 years ago, I do remember my husband looking.  I am actually surprised that the pricing is not higher.  Clients should get with you now before it goes much higher.  As everything loosens up, demand may drive prices even higher.

Georgie, when I look at the average of prices all over the country (especially in your area) I wonder...how are folks affording to buy? (but they do!!!!)

This is good information to share. Your prices are above the budgets for many retirees who would love to move there.

I am not surprised at longer DOM for vacation homes.  It took that long for bargain hunters realize there are bargains at this price. 

The family who owned 20,000 original land belong to the Sun family sold their land in the name of revolution.    

Sun went to see Joseph P Morgan to get loans for his second revolution overthrow the fat man Yuan.  JP declined. 

Sun's brother married into the Hawaii queen's side got that much land.  Last time, we passed the old China town on a bus. Sadly to say that neighborhood turned into ruins.  All the best.
