What has changed in my business post pandemic? My business has expanded geographically because of the the pandemic. Zoom and technology has really helped me. But you really don't want to hear any more about Zoom do you?
This Monday I did have my first post pandemic facilitation in a conference room--no masks. Everyone was vaccinated. I certainly felt great speaking openly without a mask and we had some great discussions. This Friday I will be doing a group planning session at breakfast at a diner.
Speaking of eating. Phyllis and I have eaten out twice in the last week. This was the first time since before the pandemic.
We have wonderful plans for the 4th of July. Each year except last summer we hosted a 4th of July picnic with our neighbor friends. We missed not doing it last summer but we will continue this year. I will have the grill ready for hamburger and hot dog and will have home made German potato salad. This will kick off the routine that we have done for years amongst our friends. Next will be Halloween party at another friends house but that is a long way off and we still have plenty of summer before that.
I am sure that Brian England must be having a very active summer with vacation house rentals. After our grandson was born last April we had hoped for a vacation in a beach vacation house. Next week we will be going to a beach house off the eastern Connecticut shore.
We are renting the house featured above in Old Saybrook, CT. Grandson Max is greating ready for the trip as you can see in the pictures below
Max is looking like he is very comfortable in the water. There will be plenty of time to play in the water of the Long Island Sound. And with my reciprical membership at Freedom Boat Club have reserved boats for the Sound.
Just looking at the charts and I hope we will have time to travel accoss the Sound to Eastern Long Island. In any event Max is ready for that with his life jacket.
This is an entry into Debe Maxwell, CRS and Kathy Streib 's June contest Pandemic, Let Freedom Ring.
