Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?
Last year, Utah shut down for a couple of weeks. While other states were ulta-restrictive, Utah was open to visitors. State and national parks became the preferred playground for the masses.
Many out-of-area buyers cancelled due to the Wuhan flu. I continued to market and advertise, staying the course, as usual. Business increased due to a large influx of buyers.
Come spring, we went about getting the back yard garden tilled and planted, anticipating another successful growing season. We were later rewarded with an abundant harvest!
Of course, going to other states was not a viable option, so we decided to take on a project that became a cohesive team effort for all involved. The results were most impressive!
When vacationing, people look for tropical places, entertainment venues, often stretching beyond their personal boundaries. We decided to remain home and stay-cate.
Soon enough our little project of buying a grain silo came to fruition and morphed into an impressive outdoor recreation area. We had a few protests a.k.a. parties last year, including a birthday party, inviting friends and family to gather.
A local band played, plus abundant food and games helped everyone to celebrate one another. We plan to do many more backyard events as we move forward. In May, we also threw a Spring Silobration in honor of fresh, new beginnings.
This year, my husband and I plan to visit some family members all across the country and this Gma will be travelling to create new memories with the Grands. Little Kodah will be born any day now!
While other states are slowly opening up again, Utah remains high on the list of places to visit. IMHO, there is no other area that offers vacationers and residents as much as our piece of paradise.
Happy travels to all who may venture out in search of wonderment or to fill the bucket list. We are content to remain in place at home, in a social setting, while surrounded by people who matter.
Or just the two of us.
There's no place like home!
