Gaithersburg Storm Drain Art Contest Winners

 

Congratulations to the winning artists of the Gaithersburg Parks, Arts and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) Storm Drain Art Contest. The artwork, painted on storm drain covers at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm on June 12, brings attention to the importance of protecting the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Hello Roy - creativity is certainly alive in Gaithersburg Maryland as storm drains take stage on the art front.  Definitely not a "still life interpretation" as they  provide an important of infrastructure which is highly valuable.

Hii Roy Kelley!  Loved the creative idea of winning artwork painted on storm drain covers at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.  I especially liked two winning entries in the 'Save the Creatures of the Bay' category: 
 1.)  POLLUTION MAKES ME CRABBY (Winner Kylie Wilbur), and
 2.)  SAVE THE TURTLES  (Winner Chelsa Rubin.)
