Summer Fun at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve
With the children out of school, the search is on for activities to keep them busy. Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve, located in Houston just off the Tomball Parkway, has a lot to offer.

The Preserve has 1.7 miles of paved trails as well as several paths that will take you through a more wooded area. On any of the paths, you may see deer, squirrels, rabbits, turtles, and all kinds of birds.
There is a canoe/kayak launch and 3 fishing piers. Throughout the park are benches (built by local Boy Scouts) as well as picnic tables perfect for lunch in the park.
Scout groups and other non-profit youth organizations can reserve the campground that includes a covered picnic area, fire ring, and grills. The area is near the public restrooms that have running water and electrical outlets.

The Preserve is open from 7 am to dusk and closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Day!
